Get ready for an unforgettable summer at Blue Cross Park in Winnipeg! This year, the park will be hosting a series of highly anticipated events that are sure to bring excitement and entertainment to the city. From live music performances to food festivals, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

One of the biggest highlights of the summer will be the Love Earth Tour featuring Neil Young and Crazy Horse. This outdoor concert is scheduled to take place on July 17 and is expected to draw a huge crowd. Thanks to Live Nation, Neil Young himself expressed his desire to perform in Winnipeg, and the outdoor ballpark at Blue Cross Park was deemed the perfect venue for this high-profile event.

In addition to the Neil Young concert, there are two other major events that will be held at Blue Cross Park. On July 26, the Country Rising Music Festival will take the stage, bringing renowned country artists such as Brothers Osborne, Dallas Smith, and The Reklaws to Winnipeg. Even if you're not a fan of country music, there will be whiskey sampling and flashback cars to make it a fun experience for everyone.

The following night, on July 27, the Tacos and Tequila Festival will kick off, bringing a throwback hip-hop vibe to the park. Artists from the '90s and 2000s, including Lil Jon and Chingy, will take the stage, and attendees can also enjoy food from local taco chefs, a tequila tasting lounge, lucha libre wrestling, a Chihuahua beauty pageant, and even a salsa and queso competition. It's a festival that combines great music, delicious food, and exciting entertainment.

Blue Cross Park, previously known as CanWest Global Park and Shaw Park, has undergone some renovations in preparation for these events. Despite the changes, the Goldeyes, Winnipeg's baseball team, remains committed to their 'Love Local' mantra, serving local beer and food at the park. They even introduced the Craft Beer Corner in 2018, offering a variety of beers from local breweries.

As the vice-president and COO of Goldeyes, Regan Katz expressed his excitement about these events and the upcoming season. With a new manager and an exciting team, the Goldeyes are ready to make the 31st season in Winnipeg a memorable one. The home opener is set for May 21, so mark your calendars!
